A slab of travertine on a frame of stainless steel ACME lead screws and nuts. Nothing in the structure is hidden; the way it is built is the way it looks.
The stone is the oldest material in the collection and the most likely to break, so it is also the easiest to replace. The frame takes a top of any material up to 14 inches deep, and its height and length can be reset along the screws, so the console can be resized as its room changes.
Made to order in Brooklyn.
