Studio

Cass trained in industrial design at Pratt Institute and now works independently from a small studio in Brooklyn, designing and making furniture, lighting and objects for everyday use.

Almost everything is made in the studio, from first drawings and printed prototypes to machined parts and final finishing. Keeping design and making in one place means every detail can be tested by hand before it is built.

The work favors honest materials and visible construction: stainless steel, aluminum and stone, left close to raw so they wear in rather than wear out.
